Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her stage name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be signed to J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. In October 2016, Ari Lennox released her Pho EP. It was here that she was recognized. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012 with her release of her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued uploading her music online as well as her own single Bound. On 21st of July the 21st of July in 2015 Omen included her in Elephant Eyes song"Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Then, later in the season, the music was circulating around Dreamville. The announcement of her decision to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. She made an appearance on the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. On October 21, 2016 the EP Pho debuted. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and was an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018 she guest-starred on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. Also, she appeared on Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video was released on September 5th. Then on the 9th of November, she released another two singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). On November 13, she released two additional singles, titled One and Pdigree. One as well as Pdigree. Then she appeared as a guest on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single in February 2019 for her debut album of the same title. The 20th of February, 2019, a music video was released to promote the song. The track has received over three million hits on YouTube in its initial week. In December of 2018, she was a supporting act on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in conjunction with 6LACK.
